Poynton Law Limited is headed by Nick Stratford who is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner, has extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious law, and is a recognised expert in both fields. Nick is regarded as an expert in the field of equity release legal work and leads by example with his team at Poynton Law Limited.
Nick qualified as a Solicitor over 20 years ago. He is a recognised expert in both contentious and non-contentious law. Nick has regularly been invited to provide training to other solicitors by BBP University. The non-contentious work Nick has a particular interest in includes equity releases and administering the estates of deceased people with assets both in the UK and abroad.
The contentious work Nick has particular interest in includes contested estates, matrimonial and general litigation. Nick was the solicitor who acted in one of the leading cases on derivative actions under Company Law which was reported in the Law Reports, Chancery Division under Parry v Bartlett and Another: CHD 29 Nov 2011. Nick recently qualified as a Notary Public which allows him to notarise documents required by different legal systems all around the world.
Daniel studied at Manchester Metropolitan University where he completed his Legal Practice Course. Daniel qualified as a Solicitor in 2018.
Daniel employs a proactive and solution focused approach to all matters and is passionate about delivering outstanding client care and service.
With over 20 years’ experience Karen is a natural people’s person, who shows her client’s care, empathy and total professionalism all the way through the process.Karen was noted in the Legal 500 as ‘fights hard for her clients’ and as having ‘exceptionally strong negotiation skills backed up with years of experience in handling difficult proceedings’
Maya is a qualified solicitor with 18 years legal experience. She has been a qualified solicitor since 2004.
Maya joined Poynton Law in May 2018 and regularly travels around the country to see equity release clients.
Darren completed his law degree while studying in Leeds, he then went on to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer in 2018. Darren takes a particular interest in Equity release, Wills, Lasting Power of Attorneys & Litigation.
Emily is currently training to be a Chartered Legal Executive and has a special interest in property law and in particular Equity Releases.
Alex is a motivated legal assistant who takes an efficient approach to finding solutions to your legal matters.
